•Teach• For the #mamaandmeproject this week, I knew I wanted to capture Frey with one of his books. I love to read and I love to read to him. And while Frey is no where near being able to read yet, I’m glad that we’ve already begun to teach him a love of books. During the day he’s loves to be read and play with lift-the-flap and textured books. And his nighttime routine involves me readings to him every other day. Not the most flattering photo of me, but this was me last night after I had to brake quickly in the car and started getting stabbing pains in my c-section scar shortly after. I was kept in overnight and most of today for observations and a scan. Thankfully both baby girl and I are ok, and have now been discharged on the agreement if anything changes I head straight back in. I’m very blessed to live in a country that provides free healthcare. First, please ignore the state of the floor, as I mentioned in my #instastories Kaia is moulting at the moment ( I also managed to spell it as malting, instead of moulting, pregnancy brain for the win 😆). Despite the state of the floor, I love this photo. I took it last night as I was starting Frey’s night routine and had gone to grab his bottle from the kitchen, not realising that he had followed me. This is the first time I’ve ever managed to capture Kaia’s ‘it’s touching me again’ face, and I love it. Despite her size she’s generally really gentle with him. She will on occasion get over excited (she’s a puppy trapped in a big dogs body) but a firm word from me or the hubby and she calm again.
