Tomorrow is the 1st December and I’m taking full advantage to me being on maternity and have several things planned for this month that I just can’t wait for.
1. Seeing Santa
We’re actually doing this tomorrow and I can’t wait. It’s the perfect way to start the month, and it’ll be the first time we’ve taken Frey to see Father Christmas and I can’t wait. (Although a part of me is really worried about how he’s going to react, just going to keep my fingers crossed).
2. Chester Zoo Lanterns
We went last year and it was magical, so naturally when the tickets went up we snapped them up. I’m really looking forward to it this year, as Frey had conjunctivitis last year. While he did enjoy it, I have a feeling that this year he’ll love it even more.

3. Christmas Markets.
I love me a good Christmas Market. Walking around, sipping hot chocolate, treating yourself to a lovely roast pork bap. All the while trying to figure out how to sneak a 5-foot, hand-painted, wooden reindeer into the house without your other half noticing. Oh, the joys of a good Christmas Market.
4. Christmas Eve Boxes.
This will be the first year I’m doing Christmas Eve Boxes and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m only doing a few little bits for each kid, and I’ve got my eye on the pyjamas I want to get them. Just can’t wait to give them to the kids on Christmas Eve, while we all snuggle up ready for Father Christmas.
5. Gingerbread Decorating.
I’ve been wanting to either make a gingerbread house or decorate a gingerbread man (or woman) for years and this year we’re doing it. Now, I’m not an idiot, I know decorating a gingerbread men with a two year old is probably going to end in disaster (I’m imagining icing on everything except the gingerbread men) but I’m going to enjoy every moment of it.
