I couldn’t baby wear with Frey, mostly due to my mental state at the time. You see we got a baby sling and I had visions of looking like some glorious earth mother when I wore it. The reality was every time I tried to use it I spent the whole time in a complete panic and would refuse to take me hands off Frey, thus defeating the purpose of the sling and in the end I just gave up trying to use it.

This time round I was determined to baby wear, especially around the house, as it would allow me to have both hands free for Frey. So I decided to completely forgo the sling and go straight for a carrier and I’m so glad I did. I’ve been baby wearing since Sigi was about 2 weeks old and loving every moment of it. I haven’t experienced any of the panic or fear I got the first time I tried to baby wear.

When I started looking into carriers, I read multiple reviews of several different brands and eventually settled on the Infantino Flip Advanced 4-in-1 Convertible Baby Carrier from Amazon. It’s really affordable at only £34.99 and had amazing reviews and having used it for over a month now, I can safely say it lives up to them. It’s comfortable to wear even after an hour or so; and Sigi is secure and relaxed in it. So much so I’ve used it once or twice to get her to sleep when I’ve been on my own with both of the kids.
It’s also been a lifesaver these last few weeks as we had to return our tandem pram as there was a fault with it. So we’ve been using our old pram for Frey and carrying Sigi everywhere. I would dread to think how we would of managed without it. (Frey loves to walk but can’t manage more than half an hour or so before he goes crazy and demands to be picked up)
